Hillsong: Freedom Run
Client: Hillsong International
Role: Director, Cinematographer & Post Supervisor
Project Type: Fundraising campaign short film
I directed, shot, and oversaw post-production for Freedom Run, a short promotional film created for Hillsong’s fundraising campaign built around an ultra-marathon. The goal was to capture both the physical challenge and the deeper sense of purpose driving the event — framing endurance as a metaphor for hope and collective action.
Working with a small crew, I led production and post on a tight one-week turnaround, balancing narrative storytelling with the organization’s broader campaign messaging. Every creative choice — from framing to pacing — was designed to feel immediate and human, while staying true to Hillsong’s visual and emotional tone.
During my time as Senior Video Lead at Hillsong, I directed and produced dozens of short films, live broadcasts, and campaign pieces across New York and national locations. The Freedom Run project represents one of many collaborations that combined storytelling, logistics, and creative leadership to help communicate the organization’s message at scale.
